Carnaval

It´s characterized by the rescue of several cultural activities. The Carnaval happens between the Cristo Rei and Des. Tomaz Salustino squares in the center of the city and also in many other streets. Participation of carnaval parades and several groups, of Rei Momo and Rainha do Carnaval (king and queen of the carnaval); Frevo Orchestra (typical carnaval music), Arrastão Zé Pereira and the traditional Indian Parade, wich has been around for over 70 years.
