Welcome to the Seridó! You are our guest to get to know one of the most special places in this country. It's so special that our ancestors chose it as their home; proof of this is in the hundreds of archeological sites found in the region.

It can even become a little hard to say in which season it is more beautiful: rainy or dry season. Seven days will be too little time for you to walk, pedal, row, observe wild animals, practice vertical techniques and appreciate one of the most exotic sceneries of the brazilian countryside. All in between the bushes of the caatinga and the hospitality of the people of the Seridó.


Arrival in Natal in the morning. Reception at the airpost and move to the city of Caicó. During the trip we will notice changes in the scenery, going from the coast in direction of the semi-dry countryside. Lunch in selected restaurant. Arrival in Caicó and checki-in in hotel. The afternoon is reserved  for the practice of an exciting activity: rappelling at the dam of Traíras. Near the city, the dam is an excellent option for those who are initiating in the practice of vertical activities. At the end of the afternoon, we will appreciate the sunset at the Itans Dam, during the return to the hotel. Night and dinner free. Sleep in Caicó.



Our days in the Seridó begin very early. After breakfast, we head in direction of the Serra da Formiga, where we will do a bicycle strol. The cycletourism takes us to a place of rare beauty, where the exhuberance of the fauna is highlighted, specially the birds. At the end of the stroll, we will be delighted with a revigorating field lunch. After lunch, we will rest for a while and move on the place where our transportation will be waiting. Our activity continues at the other side of the Serra da Formiga. It is there, at Caridade Cave, that we will appreciate the best Itaquatiara inscriptions of the region and some espeleotemas. At the end of the afternoon, return to the hotel. Free night and dinner. Sleep in Caicó.


After a strong breakfast, leave for the São Bernardo mountain ranges, where will take a walk of elevated level. The scenery is wonderful, with mountains and dams of celestial water that reflect the light of the strong sun and invite everyone for a bath. The walks follows to the peak of the mountain, from where you can see the entire region. The most excited may do rappelling of more than 80 meters. During rainy season, there is a beautiful waterfall in this place. Homemade lunch in one of the local farms. Return to Caicó, check-out in hotel and leave for Carnaúba dos Dantas and visit to the one of the city's archeological sites, located at the Talhado do Gavião. On the way to the primitive paintings we can observe some dozens of species of trees and birds of the caatinga, accompanied by a specialized guide, who knows all the curiosities of the wild. Comfortably installed at the locations, where some thousands of years ago our grandparents lived, we will watch a beautiful sunset. Return to Carnaúba dos Dantas. Check-in in hotel or family house. Night and dinner free.


Day reserved for visiting some more archeological sites of the city. We will take a walk starting at the Casa Santa Farm, with come of the largest pannels of primitive paintings of all northeastern Brazil. We will get to the Fundões, canion that shelters many itaquatiara inscriptions and that, during rainy season, forms various waterfalls. Typical lunch in selected restaurant. After lunch, we will take a well deserved break in hammocks. Following, we will leave for a walk to the Xique-Xique I archeological sites. We will be moved with the primitive paintings dated to approximately 9 thousand years ago. Return to Carnaúba dos Dantas. Free night and dinner.


Breakfast and check-out. Leave in direction of the city of Parelhas. Getting there, we will practice cycletourism through the roads that lead to the Cidade das Pedras Farm. We will appreciate many rocky formations with various shapes and different names. On the way, we will pass through primitive paintings at Mirador Farm, through the margins of the Boqueirão Dam and through rock saws, with incredible formations. Lunch at the Malhada Vermelha Farm. In the afternoon, we will take a walk through one of the most preserved areas of the caatinga of the entire region. The trees are centuries old and over 5 meters high. In the rainy period, we can delight ourselves with a wonderfull bath in the waterfalls. At the end of the afternon, we leave for the town of Currais Novos. Arrival and check-in in selected hotel. Free night and dinner.


Strong breaksfast and leave for trekking at the Apertados, canion formed by the river that supplies the Gargalheiras Dam, one of the main reservoirs of water in the Seridó. We'll pass near many ancient farms of the town and the Serra do Chapéu, where the visit is breathtaking. We'll enjoy the opportunity to appreciate a delicious picknick on the way. At the end of the afternoon, the activities continue through the region of Totoró, birthplace of the population  of the town. The ranges of the same name are pyramid-shaped and invites us for another good walk. Free night and dinner. Sleep at Currais Novos.


Last day of our trip. After breakfast, leave for the town of Acari. We're going to the Lagoa Seca mountain range. From the peak, we can see the Gargalheiras Dam, which we will climb down. The walk hilldown demands attention and a lot of disposition. We'll be received by fishermen, who will take us in boats to the point where our vehicles will be waiting. At the end of the walk, it will be possible to take a delicious bath in the dam. Lunch in selected place. Check-out of hotel and return to Natal. Transfer to airport.
